Next door, The Flamingo Room has carved out its own identity as one of the neighbourhood’s most unique late-night destinations. Most recently, the family welcomed Violeté to Commercial Drive.
Named after the violet flower—a symbol of simplicity, love, and warmth throughout Europe—Violeté is inspired by the traditions of Italy and Spain, where meals are meant to be shared. Designed as a warm and welcoming neighbourhood restaurant, it reflects a philosophy that great food is about more than what’s on the plate—it’s about the conversations, friendships, and memories created around the table.
