The Creators of Rosé Disco Wine Fest, in Partnership with The Commercial Drive Business Society, Are Bringing La Dolce Vita to Commercial Drive This Summer with a Brand-New Italian Wine & Pasta Fest.
In partnership with The Drive BIA, the team behind Rosé Disco is bringing its signature food, wine, and music festival experience to Commercial Drive—this time inspired by the spirit of Ferragosto. Spaghetti Disco celebrates the neighbourhood’s rich Italian heritage by bringing together 1,000 guests, four of Vancouver’s top Italian restaurants, ten iconic Italian wine regions, and an Italian disco soundtrack meant to get people dancing at Grandview Park this summer.
Spaghetti Disco, a new festival dedicated to Italian food, wine, and music, takes over Grandview Park at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, welcoming over 1,000 guests to six hours of pasta, Italian wine, and dancing in the sun. The dress code is red, white, green, or Italian azure blue. The soundtrack is Italian disco and classic Euro house, courtesy of DJ Johnny Jover.
Four Restaurants, Exclusive Off-Menu Pastas
The event is built around a simple idea: Italians don’t eat to live—they live to eat.
Four of Vancouver’s most celebrated Italian restaurants—Nonna’s Italian Street Food, Bar Corso, Livia, and Pax Romana—will each serve an exclusive, off-menu pasta dish created specifically for the festival, alongside regional specialties and treats from Italian fine food importers.
Every guest receives four pasta tickets redeemable across the pop-ups, plus a custom reusable tasting plate with a built-in wine glass holder, designed to make eating, sipping, and mingling effortless.
A Tour Through 10 Iconic Italian Wine Regions
Spaghetti Disco will pour wines from ten of Italy’s most iconic wine regions—Abruzzo, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, Puglia, Friuli, Sicily, Le Marche, Sardegna, Piedmont, and Tuscany. Each pour comes with its own story of region, grape, and character.
As far as the wine goes, one of the organizers, Gez McAlpine, puts it plainly: “If it’s not Italian, then it’s not at Spaghetti Disco.”
